Fees Without Surprises

The live registration options on this page show the current base fees. Here is what those charges cover and when additional costs can apply.

Development Registration

For 10U through High School, development registration covers scheduled BAHL practice ice, BAHL skills programming, dryland, growth games, and program administration.

If a player does not accept a representative-team roster spot, no representative-team charge is added; family-selected extras remain separate.

Representative Teams

Players selected for and accepting a representative-team roster spot may receive an additional Crossbar charge.

Depending on the team, it can include the MAHA bond/state fee plus BAHL-allocated referee costs and MAHA-sanctioned home-game ice. Not every added cost is a MAHA fee.

Payment Plans

The BAHL development registration plan is $350 down followed by six monthly payments.

If a family accepts a representative roster spot, BAHL will confirm the added amount, due date, and whether it is added as an installment or handled separately. Crossbar does not automatically recalculate a plan when a player is rostered.

Discounts & Estimates

Approved full-time goalies at 12U and above receive 30% off the base registration fee. Each registered child after the first receives a $150 sibling discount; use code SIBLING.

See Appendix F, pages 55–68, in the 2026–27 BAHL Handbook for representative-team planning estimates. Final costs depend on rosters, games, and actual team expenses.

Weekly Ice & Program Calendar

All BAHL age groups, optional development sessions, and dated programs are kept together on the BAHL Schedule page.

Use the public schedule for league-wide planning. Signed-in families should still follow assigned games, travel, cancellations, and private team changes in their Crossbar calendar.

Gear, Eligibility & Family-Paid Items

Use these details before checkout so the season starts without surprises.

Gear & Jerseys

BAHL works with Play It Again Sports for rental equipment and jerseys. Registration asks whether your player needs a new jersey; confirm current availability and terms before the first session.

Age & Eligibility

BAHL follows USA Hockey age divisions based on the player’s age as of December 31. A player who is 14 and attending high school may try out for a high school team.

Playing Up

Playing up requires BAHL Hockey Director approval and a coach evaluation. Player safety and development remain the deciding factors.

Budget separately for: additive tournaments and coach reimbursement; individual travel, lodging, and meals; jerseys and socks when needed; personal equipment; optional apparel or team gear; and any parent-coach compensation assigned to the team.
